France-Lise McGurn ukończyła Royal College of Art w Londynie, Hunter College of Art w Nowym Jorku oraz Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art w Dundee. Jest laureatką nagród Jeremy Cubitt Prize (2010 ) oraz John Milne Purvis Prize (2005).
