Geometric shapes appear in Paweł Kwiek’s art in various forms - they may be objects held by the artist, shapes formed with the body or - as is the case here - geometrical elements drawn or painted on the surface of the print. Such actions reveal the artist’s interest in the border area between the real, objective world and the supernatural world. Since his mystical and religious experience in 1980, such explorations have become crucial to Kwiek’s artistic work.
