The photographs belong to the Frowst series, published in a book under the same title (MACK, 2014), for which Piotrowska received the first prize in the First Book Award organised by the National Media Museum and MACK. Staged by the artist, the photographs, which show her relatives and friends, refer to the complexity of relationships, proximity and distance. They were inspired by Hellinger`s therapeutic method.
One of the photographs featured here was the lead photo in the publicity materials of the Cracow Photomonth 2015, and as such was also reproduced on the cover of the book Conflict (Fundacja Sztuk Wizualnych, 2015), which was the festival publication. Exhibitions: Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Institute of Contemporary Arts, London (2013); Krasna-Krausz Book Awards and First Book Award 2015, Media Space, Science Museum, London (2015); Frowst, Etnographic Museum, Cracow (2015); We Have Time, andel`s Hotel, Łódź (2015).
