In the 1970s, Wojciech Zawadzki was associated with Wroclaw photographers' movement of 'elementary photography'. Since 1984, he has been a member of the strong community of photographers in Jelenia Gora. He was one of the organizers of the Jelenia Gora Photography School (Polish: Jeleniogorska Wszechnica Fotograficzna) and the Mountain Photography Biennale. He managed the Korytarz photography gallery in the Jelenia Gora Cultural Centre for 25 years. He has co-organized and taught in the Photography College. He is recognized as the creator of the 'Jelenia Gora School of Photography'.
