Pierzgalski creates paintings, drawings, works of graphic art and photographs. Graduate of PWSSP (currently the Academy of Fine Arts) in Łódź. Lecturer at PWSFTviT in Łódź between 1955 and 1976. Head of the Photography Studio at the Faculty of Graphic Art at PWSSP in Łódź from 1976. In the 1950s, he was associated with the Fifth Wheel group of artists and then with the New Line group (1959). At that time, he exhibited (together with Andrzej Łobodziński and Krystyn Zieliński) at the Łódź salon of the Photographic Society, and with Łobodziński, Zieliński and Stanisław Fijałkowski, at the Krzysztofory Gallery in Cracow (1961). In the first half of the 1960s, Pierzgalski showed his works in the Krzywe Koło Gallery in Warsaw. At that time, he created his series of drawings and paintings inspired by Far-Eastern calligraphy. In the 1970s, the artist produced such photographic series and multi-media projections as Readers + Armchairs, Hats and Art Hotel. Works in the collections of National Museums in Warsaw and Poznań, the Museum of Art in Łódź, as well as in Polish and international private collections.
