The Lonesome Landscape series, of which the work is a part, is the most recognisable of Jastrzębski`s photographic achievements. It consists of photographs made with very long exposure times, thanks to which only the permanent elements of the scene are captured, while the ephemeral details are left unrecorded. In his comments about the exhibition, the artist quotes Descartes: "He who wants to embrace many objects with one look, will not see any of them distinctly."
Some of the many exhibitions where the series was shown include: Museum of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (2012); Stara Galeria ZPAF, Warsaw (2012); LABLOOM Gallery, Bogota, Columbia, 3+ Photography Art Exhibit (2013); CASA CANO, Bogota, Colum- bia (2013); FOCUS Gallery, Siedlce (2014); B&B Photographic Gallery, Bielsko-Biała (2014).
