He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz in 1955. Between 1955 and 1976 he lectured at the Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz. Since 1976 he taught as an associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, heading the Department of Photography at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. He obtained the title of Professor of fine arts in 1990; professor emeritus since 2003. His work has focused on painting, graphic works and photography. Most of his known photographic works are series of several frames put together. By this the artist created peculiar studies of persons, compositions, etc. The work shown here is an example of such a scrutiny and examination of the central motif and shapes.
