Plants often appear in Żak`s works. In addition to still-lifes and landscapes, they are a central motif of his ongoing untitled series of photographs. The artist makes minimalist monochromatic prints by hand. By using specific darkroom processes and materials, Żak obtains images enriched with elements non-existent in the actual scene, thus creating unique prints, such as the one featured here.
