The featured work is a working, negative version used by the artist for making positive contract prints. Dederko made it by photographing a retouched print. The cuts that can be clearly seen around the work were used to fit the negative on paper.
The gum bichromate print of the Japanese Nude produced from this negative was included in the artist`s Gums portfolio of 1963 and in his famous publication Art Photographer`s Technical Skill (Centralny Ośrodek Metodyki Upowszechniania Kultury, 1985).
