White Elephants is a series of photographs the artist made in 2008-2012. His central focus was on capturing emotions by recording individual faces, gestures, and relationships. Zbierski compares photography to a rope which re-links past moments.
Major awards: finalist in the Terry O’Neill Awards, United Kingdom (2011); shortlisted in Les Nuits Photographiques, Paris (2012); Leica Oscar Barnack Newcomer Award (2012); nomination for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize (2013).
His work has been widely reproduced in the international press.
