Jakub Maria ks. Puzyna about The Vulgar: "Nowadays, photography is a common language, more universal than words - global, simple, fast and sensational. On the face of it, a photographic image does not require symbolic competences - it is perceived holistically, providing immediate understanding of the essence. A photo creates appearances of objectivity, and at the same time, an air of intimacy.
Addressing vulgarity, Witek questions these appearances, challenging the literalness of photography and the intimacy between the viewer and what is photographed. Showing photography as a medium transcending linguistic structures, he proves that in the photographic practice what is Dry can be Wet at the same time."
