The work comes from the conceptual series Traces, produced in 1982 and consisting of 7 photographs depicting photomontages made of photographic portraits and self-portraits of the artist. An interesting detail in the work is the self-portrait of Rydet with Jerzy Lewczyński which the former placed in the top right corner. The two artists were close friends and shared their artistic passion.
The work has been widely exhibited in Poland and internationally.
