The Miniatures series was created as a result of the artist`s search for new solutions in the area of photographic techniques. They are an effect of the action of reagents on photographic paper. Sometimes Piasecki glued items to photographs which, by contacting the photosensitive paper, created collagelike compositions. As a result of these experiments, he managed to create works with abstract forms.
The works from this series were shown at the following exhibitions: Marek Piasecki, Starmach Gallery, Cracow (2004), Polska Institutet, Stockholm (2005); Marek Piasecki. Fragile, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw (2008); Collection. Twenty Years of the Starmach Gallery, the National Museum, Cracow (2009).
