The Deceitful Reverence is a personal visual documentary about abandonment, loneliness and change. The images, captured between Poland and Sweden, where the artist is currently living, are a personal, intimate illustration of his fears, desires and dreams. They are a poetic narrative about the confrontation of the internal, intimate and fragile with the new, different and untamed. The photographs were taken shortly after Pisuk left an inpatient alcohol rehab facility. In an interview for fotografiamagazine.com, he recollects that in a sense photography saved his life. Thanks to it, he learnt to live with no additional stimulation and opened a new chapter in his life.
The photograph has featured at many shows.
