The work shows one of the hunts Puchalski used to document for years. It was taken in eastern Poland, probably in the Białowieża Forest. "The fire we made in the woods was radiating heat, with sparks shooting up and smoke stinging our eyes." - this literary description was the motto of one of Puchalski`s albums entitled In the Land of Hunting (Sport i Turystyka, 1966). Another print of this photograph is owned by the Museum in Niepołomice.
