The featured diptych comes from Grzeszykowska’s early set of works produced for her diploma finals at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She made the portfolio of photographs as an illustration of The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Milan Kundera. One sees here an example of Grzeszykowska pointing the camera at herself, and this later became her regular artistic practice.
