Witold Kanicki, curator of Miśniorny’s Faux-pas-partout exhibition (Piekary Gallery, Poznań, 2014), points out that the artist has developed a look at ‘art photography’ that goes far beyond the conventional thinking about it. As he explains in the text accompanying the exhibition, "the individual photos taken by the artist escape simplified genre- or style-based classifications, displaying signs of ostensible technical defects." Kanicki also highlights Misiorny’s fascination with the German Artist Wolfgang Tillmans.
