Rolke dedicated much of his creative energy to women. His photographs depicting women include both staged studio photos and pictures of everyday life, as this one. This is a portrait of the artist’s friend, with whom he went to an exhibition of the abstract painter Zbigniew Kupczyński. One can see here fragments of the items shown at the exhibition.
