This work was made using the heliography technique and is part of a larger series of heliographs produced in the 1950s. When commenting on the artist’s exhibition Marek Piasecki. Heliographs and Objects in the FF Gallery in Łódź (2010), Przemysław Chodań quoted Urszula Czartoryska, who expressed a view that Piasecki’s art combined two preoccupations: "one of experimentation - seeking a language of light that has supreme artistic qualities, and one oriented to expressive and poetic values."
