Nude photography is characteristic of Sowiński`s search for artistic expression. The photograph seems to be an introduction to his later works, in which he multiplied symmetrical compositions depicting naked female bodies against black background. When asked by Małgorzata Matera about "the need for peace of geometry" in photography, Sowiński replied that "his aim was to reduce most of the female nudes he photographed to a graphical minimum" (50, Michał Sowiński, Museum in Gliwice, 2007).
