The work comes from a larger series all in a similar style - Piasecki used transparent forms to compose his works. The year 1957 was a turning point in his life as he gave up studying and dedicated himself to art. At the end of the year he participated in the 2nd Modern Art Exhibition, displaying his heliographs.
The series has featured in the following exhibitions: Marek Piasecki. Fragile, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw (2008); A Collection. Twenty Years of the Starmach Gallery, National Museum, Cracow (2009).
