The group of Świat weekly photojournalists, including Kosidowski, revolutionised Polish press photography by producing photo essays resembling - in form and subject-matter terms - those published by the American Life magazine. This photograph was made in a New York street shortly before the Polish weekly was established. Kosidowski was refining his photojournalist`s skill in NY.
