Haneman`s rich photographic output includes many pictures made on the Polish sea, including poetic depictions of the dunes in the vicinity of Łeba, such as this one. The artist would refer to the area as the `Polish Sahara`, as is reflected by the title of one of his photographs owned by the Museum of the History of Photography in Cracow (Łeba - The Polish Sahara, 1954).
