Hotel Europa was the first work in Przyborek`s portfolio of seven photographs produced for a show organised by Inka Schube in the Brotfabrik gallery in Berlin (1995). The exhibition was a protest against the war in former Yugoslavia. The individual photographs, including this one, were made in response to the problems of modern world. Przyborek produced objects to accompany some of the photographs and often displayed the two together.
