Being a specialist in theatre and portrait photography, Arczyński has also devoted himself to landscape and travel photography, in which he is equally skilled. Before visiting such distant countries as China, India, Africa and the US, he had widely travelled across Poland. In addition to the Karkonosze Mountains, which he has visited many times, Arczyński is also keen on the Tatra Mountains. He visited them in 1951-1952, both in winter and summer. This photograph dates back to one of those trips.
