Nowak’s art evolved at a time when the function of photography was being redefined, departing from its documentary role towards experimentation and what is referred to as creative photography. Nowak’s artworks often feature a woman, or rather a female body, which is, however, turned into an object, as can be seen in this picture, where the body becomes a target.
