Since the early 1970s, the artist has dedicated himself to analysing the photographic medium. Clearly, his works are an examination of the visual language of photography. The featured work is an excellent example of the artistic quest made by Lachowicz, who seeks the moment of "neverendingness" in photography. In his text for the exhibition Andrzej Lachowicz. Observations and Notations, CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw (2008), Marek Grygiel observes: "Rather he aims at revealing an elusive, complex and ever-moving state. This permanence of existence evolves from the artist`s effort to present the complex picture of reality, hence the apparent recurrence of gestures, behaviours and motifs".
