The photograph presented here is one of Gardulski`s early works. The artist himself refers to its theme as the "generalisation" of a human figure. The issue he addresses is human anonymity, which led him to large human gatherings, where the quality of being anonymous is something natural, e.g. football stadiums during a game, Labour Day celebrations, etc. Multiplications, i.e. building a crowd with a single figure, motion, different contexts of the background - all this adds up to a story.
The work was exhibited at: Jaszczurowa Galeria Fotografii, Cracow (1979); Galeria DESA/ZPAF FOTO-VIDEO, Cracow (1983).
