Most of Beksiński`s photographs oscillate between portrait, creation and ab- straction. The work featured here is one of the photographs where the artist is balancing on the verge of photographic document. Yet, with the gloomy mood and clear composition, in which the figure seems to be merely an element of the scenery, the photograph reveals a style typical of the artist. The photograph is also known as the Market Square in Sanok.
