Edward Hartwig, who was running a photographic atelier with his wife, would often present her as a person highly sensitive to people`s appearance and stress her extraordinary skill in portrait-making. This photograph shows Ewa, the daughter of Helena and Edward Hartwig. For this work, the artist received a gold medal at the Portrait Exhibition in Gdańsk (1960s).
It has been exhibited in Poland and abroad, including Chile and the USA.
