Krzysztof Jurecki described the Monopoly Photography series, which includes this artwork, as an "important form of artistic resistance and struggle against the totalitarian system, a series that supposedly glorifies queues in front of stores, soldiers in the streets, and pigs in a sty, and also Wojciech Jaruzelski in a special way." The bold works by Różycki were shown at the time in the underground Carpet Cleaning gallery in Łódź. One of the most important features of the Monopoly of Photography is the way the artist imitates religious ornamentation, here by means of toilet paper, which adds an element of mockery to the work.
