In the 1980s, Marcolla was dedicated to exploring the limits of art and defining new areas for artistic manipulation. This photograph is an effect of such analyses, whereby the artist demonstrates how easily a viewer can be misled by a visual illusion. She has investigated photographic and video media, with the effect of producing a number of works by means of them.
