This is what Gierałtowski says about his approach to photography: "Everybody has eyes, a mouth and a nose, but it is only by capturing a grimace, a flash in the eye, the skin texture, and by using the right camera angle, focal length, crop, lighting and colour that you will be able to create a subjective portrait. A subjective portrait does not claim objective truth. It is rather a unique impression of a committed photographer."
