1933
gelatin silver print, 24.5 x 18.1 cm,
signed "Witold Romer / Polska," titled "Das Papier"
and artist’s Lviv address on the reverse
vintage
This is one of Romer’s most easily recognisable photographs. For many years, the artist was associated with the Książnica Atlas Publishing House, which had been founded by his father in Lviv and in which Witold headed the Photomechanics Department. This picture is likely to have been taken there.
