gum bichromate, 17.8 x 22.2 cm,
signed, dated, described and artist`s stamp on the reverse,
edition: 1/2
One of the most recognisable works of the artist. A different colour variant of this photograph was reproduced in Jerzy Lewczyński`s Anthology of Polish Photography 1839-1989 (Lucrum, 1999). The print was made using the noble gum bichromate technique, which involves coating paper with a mixture of gum arabic, potassium dichromate or ammonium and pigment and making a contact print from a negative on the surface thus produced.
