November

1968/1969
gelatin silver print, 78 x 70 cm,

vintage

This photograph was on display at the last exhibition of the Zero-61 art group, of which Różycki was a member. Given that the exhibition was held in an old building that had housed a blacksmith’s shop, the show was named The Smithy. It took place in May 1969 in Toruń, during a nationwide symposium about the influence of the fine arts and other art disciplines on photography and vice versa. To add meaning to his artistic gesture, Różycki left the grey paper around his work and hung it directly on a door hook.
