The series of photographs of Marilyn Monroe with a mandolin was made during the first meeting of Milton H. Greene with the actress in September 1953. The session was made for the Look magazine. One of the shots was on the cover of the Italian magazine Visito in 1954. In the photographs Milton Greene is preparing Marilyn Monroe for the next shots.
