This photograph is an example of the pictorial style typical of Wański`s work. Wański owes his reputation of the `greatest poet of Polish landscape photography` to pictures as these - romantic, softly-drawn and rich in chiaroscuro effects. The photograph was made in Gdynia, with which the artist was connected since 1930s.
