The impressionist landscape is a result of the artist`s profound fascination with painting.
Exhibitions, i.a.: Edward Hartwig (1909-2003). Photographs. It was his first monograph exhibition, held at the National Museum in Warsaw (2004).
Publications: the catalogue of the above exhibition and Hartwig`s album Lublin (Sport i Turystyka, 1956), with texts by the artist`s sister, Julia Hartwig. The work was accompanied by the following text: "The Bystrzyca River is winding lazily across typically Polish scenery in the Lublin area."
