The featured works are emblematic of the artist`s oeuvre. They present the last works in a series of objects representing symbols of violence and suffering. Nieznalska produced them when facing criminal charges for `insulting religious beliefs` before a court in Gdańsk in 2002-2010 under § 196 of the Criminal Code. Nieznalska made the objects, aluminium casts embedding Swarovski crystals into the crown, by hand in a long-lasting and meticulous process.
