The photograph depicts the director Jerzy Skolimowski, probably on the set of The Barrier. Skolimowski is a key figure in Polish cinema not only as a film director, but also as an actor, screenwriter and producer. His rich output includes such movies as: Identification Marks: None, The Shout, The Lightship, Four Nights with Anna, Essential Killing.
Publication: a fragment of the picture was printed in the table of contents of the KINO monthly (No. 10, 1966) as a lead into Stanisław Janicki`s article entitled the BARRIER (Notes from a Film Set).
