The series is dedicated to flooding. The images are not meant to overwhelm the viewer with a play of extreme emotions. They do not show people. Just the opposite. They build an overpowering silence, a bizarrely indeterminable peacefulness in a world of abstract, grotesque and sculpture-like forms, remnants of human existence. Seduced by refined images as we are, we tend to fend off the thought of tragedy. An elusive baroque vanitas in the theatre of the world.
