The work dates back to the 1970s and 1980s, when the artist dedicated himself to commenting on the difficult political reality of the time by means of performance art, installation, film and photography. By invoking the mythical Icarus, Górski`s artistic expression acquires a universal dimension. The artist himself has often appeared in his work, as he does here.
Górski`s works from The Icarus series are owned by the Museum in Gliwice.
