Rydet worked on the World of Feelings and Imagination series in the years 1975-1979. Initially, the body of work was presented in the form of a diaporama and reproduced in 1979 in an album, with a foreword by Urszula Czartoryska. It was composed of 15 series of photomontages: Landscapes, Birth, Motherhood, Expectations, Departures, Behind the Wall of Life, Couplesin Love, Sentimental Ballad, Extermination, Dummies, Phantoms, Danger, Obsessions, Transformations, Hope.
As the art is texplained, the series "depicts humans in a precarious state from the time they are born - their obsessions, feelings, loneliness, desiresandanxiety, for which there is no salvation but through love. It is a story about the tragedy of passing, fear of an nihilation and destruction".
The work has been featured at many individual and group exhibitions, notably: Zofia Rydet. Photographs, National Museum in Wrocław (2000); Zofia Rydet. The Arc of Realism, Photoireland Festival, Centre for Creative Practices, Dublin, Ireland (2011); Necessary Complement, Silesian Museum, Katowice (2012); Zofia Rydet. Inventorying the Image of Man, Photomonth, Sofia, Bulgaria (2012).
