Pierściński believes that any artist is obliged to experiment since "the experience he thus achieves will translate into discovering new opportunities for artistic explorations." Being faithful to this principle, Pierściński experimented with ultra wide angle lenses, which he used for his Landscapes with a Foreground. This is how he commented on the experiment: "By using it you can depict the diversity of the forms and lines of a theme depending on the observation point, while the deformations of the perspective you obtain, which differ depending on the position of the camera, will allow you to explore the structural complexity of the motif and investigate the influence of photographic optics on the perception of landscape."
The photograph has been widely exhibited and reproduced.
