An artist, art historian, and the author of films, photographic series, video recordings, drawings, installations, objects, concept designs, as well as the initiator of many important artistic events and multimedia campaigns. He studied art history and museology at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, as well as at the Direction of Photography and Television Production Department of the National Film School in Lodz, where he was a lecturer and manager of the Photography and Visual Advertising Division during the years 1970-81. He returned to work at this school in 1995. Co-founder of artistic groups undertaking experimental activities, including: OKO (1960), STKF PETLA (1960-66), ZERO-61 (1961-69), KRAG (1965-67) and the team assembled in Lodz in 1970 named: L Station Creative Group Film and Television Workshop (1991-92).
