This photograph comes from the Buffer Zone series, which Zjeżdżałka made in 2007 during his stay in the town of Haidemuhl, a highly industrialised area of Germany. The authorities decided to resettle the town`s population. The residents moved out leaving behind empty homes, a kindergarten and a sports centre with all the things they no longer needed.
