This diptych comes from the Green Glory series of heliographs and drawings of plants, which is inspired by the work of Anna Atkins, a British pioneer of photography and botanist. The portfolio was made in Poland and Australia. Grasses No. 1 and Grasses No. 2 are heliographs or photograms of a bunch of long grass on black-and-white photographic paper, at a 1:1 scale, made on a sunny summer afternoon.
Exhibition: Green Glory, Refleksy Gallery, Warsaw (2011).
