Sosnowski was a pioneer artist who made use of the language of popular culture and consciously created his own myth and media image. An outstanding example of this practice is the Goalkeeper series of photographs, taken since 1974, and his film under the same title, in which the author focuses on analysing such processes as modern myth creation and the promotion of idols and their careers by the mass media.
