Photographs of the Polish coast and Gdynia represent an important part of Poddębski’s work. Gdynia, built during the inter-war period with a view to becoming Poland’s most modern city, is a pearl of architectural modernity. The Museum of the City of Gdynia owns a huge collection of glass negatives on which the artist immortalised the city and port of Gdynia in 1927-1938.
Another print of this photograph is owned by the National Library in Warsaw.
